 Title  Brooklyn
This seemingly, simple film tells the story of a young Irish woman who travels to America to find a better life. When she arrives in Brooklyn, in 1952, she remains with her kind, joining the Irish immigrant community. This provides a measure of safety, but also restricts her possibilities. She misses home yet yearns for a bigger slice of life's pie. Ironically, returning home for a visit, she finds her prospects in the old country have enlarged now that she is educated and worldly. She must now choose between her two homes - her two lives - her two selves. This single choice rings more powerful than all the explosions in a summer's worth of superhero blockbusters.
