The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  The Eclipse
The Irish interest in ghosts is reflected in the number of films that include them. Here is a modern-day ghost story concerning three writers. (Writers: another popular Irish theme.) During a writer's conference, on the picturesque Irish coast, old and new issues break through and wake up the three to the realities of life and death. They believe ghosts are quite real and treat them as such. There is none of the silliness and levity, like in High Spirits, that characterizes most Irish films about ghosts. The Irish don't believe in ghosts anymore than they believe in Leprechauns, but they do believe that myth and the culture that it keeps alive are very important. Link to reviews Click picture
