The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  On the Edge
When our hero tries to commit suicide (and fails) he is forced to confront his needs, needs unsatisfied for generations. Ireland has long been seen as a land with more than its fair share of the blues. It was just accepted that you were depressed. Your parents were depressed. Their parents were depressed. Here we see a way of ending the cycle--the cycle of drinking to cover the pain, hiding the inability to say I love you. And it's as simple as that. It starts with just saying I love you.
