The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  Perrier's Bounty
Set to the backdrop of modern Dublin, mobsters run wild playing at high stakes loan-sharking, trying hard and failing to be like their slick American counterparts. They pride themselves on being honorable, tolerant, well spoken, even polite career criminals. For example the heavy asks the mark what specific bones he wants broken, feeling it's only the right thing to do. Another goes out of his way to prove he's not homophobic. Reminiscent of I Went Down, another film about 'honest' mobsters, the guns and drugs abound. Yet, running through the story is the Irish belief that the reaper comes and tells us in advance of our death. Also, important to the story is the Irish love of dogs. Watch to see how fate deals with those who mistreat dogs. Link to reviews Click picture
