The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

Title  Three Cheers for the Irish
A catalog of Irish stereotypes, this supposedly high-minded, but dated film presumes to lecture us on race relations as it depicts petty rivalries between Irish and Scots. Our hero, an 'off the boat' Irish cop, looks the other way when his daughter dates a gangster. This 'endearing' member of New York's finest abuses his position; is unabashed about cronyism in the police force; and inevitably ends up in politics. Link to reviews
