The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  The Tiger's Tail
The economic and real estate boom in the 1990s caused Ireland to be dubbed the Celtic Tiger. The dramatic rise in wealth enriched some Irish but had some unexpected and unwelcome consequences for others. And the traffic, in Dublin?! Increases in the cost of real estate made some rich while leaving others unable to pay ever increasing rents. Until recently, homelessness was unheard of in Ireland. The difference between rich and poor was much narrower before. Here, a rich, self-made man is haunted by a homeless man. We learn that they are very much alike, but some small twist of fate leads to their very different levels of success. Their meeting forces them to confront the decisions they've made and how those decisions affected them and the others around them. Now that we have a real estate bust, maybe the traffic will thin a bit. Link to reviews Click picture
