A Complete List of Irish Films

 Title  The Town
According to this film Charlestown Massachusetts is considered the bank heist capital of the world. I asked two people from 'The Town' if they were insulted by this and both said no because they both agreed their town deserves this reputation. What is true is that Charlestown is and has been predominantly Irish for 100 years. Neighbors know everyone and everything that goes on. (See: The Green Square Mile). Townies are loyal and look out for one another -- 'they have each other's back.' And Townies have a code. The code is: Townies do no rat on anyone, not even criminals (see Monument Ave.). This fictional story shows the dilemma caused by a toonie (outsider) seeing things the Townies would rather she didn't see. The police are shown as very resourceful. Townies themselves, they use their insider knowledge to not only find suspects, but to trick them into incriminating themselves and others. Link to reviews Click picture
