The Irish in Film
A Complete List of Irish Films

Title  Vendetta: No Conscience, No Mercy (aka Irish Eyes)
Here we see a thorough study of the Irish mob in Boston. The writer/director includes every detail (and every Irishism there is) in telling the story. Like 'The Departed' this film deals with the Irish-Americans who become cops and those who become criminals but adds the third leaf of the clover - the Irish politician. Also like in The Departed, the Italian mafia is shown as the real bad guys and the local Irish are just fighting for their piece of the pie. Hints of the Whitey Bulger story arise when an informant finds his loyalty divided between his gang, his brother (a politician) and the FBI. What is new here is the IRA element. Hiring an IRA assassin can be useful when you need to get rid of somebody. Or is an assassin the door to the downward spiral of no return, no redemption? Link to reviews Click picture
