The Irish in Film
An Annotated Database

 Title  Good Vibrations
Terri Hooley lost an eye as a child when his Belfast home was attacked during the troubles. Yet he carried on. Unlike others in Ireland, he saw Punk Rock not only as legitimate music, but as a bridge between the Catholic/Protestant divide of the 1970s. The film covers his path from record store owner to record label to band promoter. His fruitless pursuit of successes spurred on by the relentless pursuit of his creditors, shows how persistence can be more powerful than talent or money. see also: If I Should Fall From Grace Link to reviews Click picture
