 Title  Love & Rage
The Irish charmer, blessed with the gift-of-the-gab, can talk his way in or out of anything, so they say. Here is a classic example of a charmer but with a not so classic target. When the charmer, or playboy, sets his mark on the local 'quality' the game soon gets out of hand. Always striving for the upper hand, the haughty mistress, who virtually owns the village as part of her estate, must ever be on her guard for thieves, embezzlers, and rebels. Yet, she never thought she should fear a lone traveling play actor. In 1896, the protestant landowner just assumed the deference of the catholic worker. But the 'charmer' is a different animal altogether. It becomes clear that their individual 'power' is derived from their confidence and conviction. (Based on true events.)
